Despite having been a professional poker player since the mid nineties it has only been in the last couple of years that Jeff Lisandro has really become a star in the world of poker. For many years Lisandro
was more of a journeyman type player, at least at tournaments, with a few successes here and there but nothing special. Although during this time he did develop a reputation as one of the top cash game players in the world.
In 2009 he broke through with tournament success as well and also established himself as the best stud poker player in the world.

Originally from Australia Jeff Lisandro moved Italy when he grew up where he initially began a career in real estate. Having learned to play poker as a child from his mother he soon decided to embark on a
career as a professional poker player. His first major success came when he made the final table at a World Series of Poker event in 1997, however his real breakthrough wouldn't come for another decade.
Over the next few years Lisandro had some success as a poker player but was hardly a well known player. His first real taste public attention came as the result of an unfortunate incident at the 2006 World
Series of Poker. Fellow competitor Prahlad Friedman accused Lisandro of not putting in his ante. It turned out that it was another player who had forgotten to ante and it was corrected by the dealer,
however Friedman called Lisandro a thief and continued to badger him even after the dealer had corrected the error. The whole incident was of course caught on television and thrust Lisandro into the public eye.
Fortunately the incident has not hurt Lisandro's career as he has since moved on to bigger successes.
Jeff Lisandro finally won his first World Series of Poker bracelet in 2007 however his really big success would come a couple of years later.
In 2009 Lisandro accomplished something that no other player had ever done before, he won WSOP bracelets in all three stud disciplines at the same event.
This cemented his reputation as the best stud poker player in the world, something that it would be hard to argue with.
Although Lisandro is famous for this success as a stud player, and all of his bracelets have come in stud events he has had success in other disciplines as well. He has made finals tables in a number of different
forms of poker and is widely known as one of the best all round players in the world. Despite his success as a tournament player Lisandro is actually more well known for his performances in cash games. Jeff Lisandro
is one of the true stars of the poker world and should continue to have success well into the future.
